Description
Humanity. What is it exactly? Do we have the sole right to exist on this planet or are we part of a delicate ecosystem, interdependent upon nature? Do we value the beauty and glory of nature? If so, then what is the difference between a homeless person and removing the home of a polar bear through climate change or felling trees and destroying entire ecosystems.
True humanity is the consideration of all life and all actions we take holistically. Do we need to burn fossil fuels for civilization to prosper. The simple answer is no. Had humanity invested in renewable technology 30-40 years ago, then much of the impacts of climate change could have been avoided. Plastics in the oceans, sewage in the oceans, pollution in the air, deforestation, species extinction, all avoidable and all inhuman.
It’s easy to change. Be aware, educate others, demand change by voting with your purchases and letting your politician know that the whole world matters and all species matter. Humans share the planet, we do not own it!
